Hajia4Reall, a popular Ghanaian social media influencer and musician, has pleaded guilty to all charges against her in a US court. She was arrested in the UK in November 2022 and extradited to the US, where she faced charges related to an $8 million fraud case. After a year and a half of legal proceedings, her lawyer has requested leniency, seeking a three-month jail sentence followed by deportation to Ghana.

Hajia4Reall, whose real name is Mona Faiz Montrage, 30, pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering conspiracy, and money laundering. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. The prosecution alleged that she defrauded elderly, single American men and women out of over GH20 million in a "lonely hearts" scam.

In a plea for mercy, her lawyer argued that Hajia4Reall was influenced by a fraud syndicate and emphasized her role as a mother needing to care for her daughter. The court will determine her sentence in about a week.
