The National Film Authority (NFA) and the International Organization of Francophonie (IOF) have announced the winners of the IOF Grant, an initiative aimed at supporting talented filmmakers in Ghana. The grant program, which began in January 2024, received numerous submissions from both aspiring and established filmmakers.
At a ceremony held at the Accra Tourism Information Centre on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, the winners were revealed. Driving Park Limited's A DREAM TO DIE FOR took the top prize of €80,000, while Adjoa Films' REGULATED MINDS and Midnight Run Productions' TANTRA received €10,000 each.
The IOF Grant is a significant move to elevate the Ghanaian filmmaking industry, providing financial support to talented filmmakers to produce high-quality films. The partnership between NFA and IOF aims to promote Ghanaian films and contribute to the growth of the industry.
The winners expressed gratitude for the support, stating that the grant will enable them to produce films that will make a positive impact on the industry.
