The hit Showtime drama series, THE CHI, is gearing up for its seventh season, and fans can expect some fresh faces and a few farewells. Singer-actor Rotimi, known for his roles in POWER and COMING 2 AMERICA, is joining the cast as Charles, a character connected to Pastor Ezekiel (Daniel J. Watts).

While Rotimi's addition brings excitement, the show bids farewell to three beloved cast members. By the end of the season six finale, Curtiss Cook's Otis "Douda" Perry and Iman Shumpert's Rob met their demise, while Tyla Abercrumbie's Nina left town with her girlfriend LaPorsha.

As the series enters its seventh season, fans can expect Rotimi's character to bring a new dynamic to the storylines. Production has already begun in Chicago, and the show is expected to continue exploring themes of connection and redemption on Chicago's South Side.

THE CHI, created by Lena Waithe and produced by 20th Television and Waithe's Hillman Grad banner, is the longest-running current scripted series on Paramount+ with Showtime. The cast includes Jacob Latimore, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Shamon Brown Jr., Michael V. Epps, Birgundi Baker, Luke James, and others.

Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming season!
